We all know that stress (压力) can have a negative (消极的) effect on our minds and bodies. It increases our risk for heart attack, and decreases our quality of life. Doctors often encourage people to decrease stress and “stop and smell the roses.” __46__ Consider the following:

Eating healthfully will not only keep you physically fit, it will also help you think clearly and stay energetic throughout the day. First, consider adding vitamins and nutrients to your diet. If you want to enjoy hearthealthy food without losing taste, you might try the Mediterranean diet which includes fish, healthy fat, plenty of fruits and vegetables, and whole grains.

Getting active is probably one of the best things you can do to decrease stress. Researchers found that working out has powerful stressreducing benefits. Another recent study found that people who sleep less than five to six hours a night are more likely to be overweight. Make sure that you get enough sleep by going to bed and getting up at the same time each day, even on the weekends.
