Rogers ’ ideas on education and learning are indeed enlightening: since the ultimate goal of education is to cultivate “the whole person”, value in- structions and personal quality should be enhanced as well as the fostering of English skills and culture; to make English learning “meaningful learning”, it is also necessary to incorporate value instructions as well as love and concern for students into English class.
