( Dep artment of N ep hrology , Second X iangy a H osp ital , Central South University , Changsha 410011, China ) Abstract: Objective To summarize the treatment with peritoneal dialysis with the / O0 set peritoneal dialysis catheter. Methods Reviewing the 228 cases of chronic renal failure patients, we compared their blood pressure and hemoglobin before peritoneal dialysis with those after peritoneal dialysis, observed themorbidity of peritonitis and drainage block, and analyzed reasons that the patients withdrew from peritoneal dialysis. Results The patients. blood pressureswere controlled very well after peritoneal dialysis. Hemoglobin increased signifi- cantly, comparedwith that beforeperitonealdialysis. Death caused by complications of peritonealdialysis wasthe primary reason that the patients withdrew from peritoneal dialysis. Conclusion Peritoneal dialysis is simple, convenient, safe and efficient.
