Ⅰ.We need to master the new words and phrases.
Ⅱ.We know the writing format(格式)of the English letter.

Step1:创设情境,导入新课
A)Warming up
抢答:步行去上学/在去……的路上/在星期一/给某人展示某物/一张……的地图/迷路/加拿大/加拿大(人)的
B)Lead in
Think about two questions:
1. Is it easy to live in a new place? 2.What do you do if you get lost?
Step2:Show learning aims
Ⅰ.We need to master the new words and phrases.
Ⅱ.We know the writing format(格式)of the English letter.
Ⅲ.Students are able to write an English letter and give your house’s directions to your friends.
Step3:New lesson instruction
New words
First, teach the new words. Then recite them and check the new words.
Listening
Listen to the text carefully and fill the blanks.

This week, I got to know my neighbourhood. Jenny and I __________ to school on _________. The school is about one _______ from Uncle David’s home. When he walk to school, we go by the bakery. C) Introduce the format of letter
英文书信一般分三部分:称呼、正文、结束语(落款)。称呼对方可以用Dear…, 结束语用Yours、Love等。

Read paragraph 3 and paragraph4 quickly and answer the following questions.
