CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS International Association for Chinese Management Research June 13-17, 2018 Wuhan Meeting Challenges of Continuous Transformation 应对持续转型升级的挑战 Submission Deadline: Midnight October 15, 2017, U.S. Eastern Standard Time IACMR’s 8th biennial meeting will take place in Wuhan, China, hosted by Wuhan University. We invite scholars who work in the field of management, with a focus on China, to submit their work. By management, we mean the way people and organizations are managed, including topics in Macro and Micro Organizational Behavior, Strategy, Entrepreneurship, Human Resource Management, Employment Relations, International Management, Social Issues, Business Ethics, and Management Education. Work is China-related if it is done with Chinese study participants or organizations, including those in mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, or Chinese organizations operating globally, or is based on Chinese theoretical perspectives. We value any high-quality Chinese management research that addresses important questions and reports interesting findings. We accept studies using various methodologies including survey research, archival data analysis, experimental studies, case studies, qualitative methods, and other creative methods for Chinese management research. The theme of the 2018 conference is Meeting Challenges of Continuous Transformation. China’s GDP growth was 6.9 percent in 2015, which reached the lowest since 1990. The GDP growth in 2016 is expected to be lower than that of 2015. The term “new normal” has been used to characterize the future economy in China: the economy has shifted from the previous high speed to a medium-to-high speed growth, the economic structure is constantly improved and upgraded, and the economy is increasingly driven by innovation instead of input and investment.
