P P Effects of Zuogui Pill on proliferation of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells in aging rat ZHAN Fei, XU Zhi-wei, HUANG Jin, ZHANG Chen, DING Fu-ping, LUO Chuan-jin, LI Jie-bin, ZHANG Jin ( Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine, Guangzhou 510405, China ) Abstract: Objective: To investigate the effects of representative decoction for invigorating kidney and nourishing essence, Zuogui pill on the proliferation of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cell (MSC) in aging rats. Methods: Aging MSCs model was established by D-galactose, the morphologic characteristics, growth cycle, growth curve, β-galactosidase senescent cells staining were observed.Results: The OD value of MSC in the model group was signii cantly lower than that in the normal group, while in the Zuogui Pill group was signii cantly higher than that in the model group (P 0.05). The positive rate in the model group was signii cantly higher than that in the normal group, while in the Zuogui Pill group was signii cantly lower than that in the model group (P 0.05). Conclusion: Zuogui Pill could reduce the proliferation of MSC in aging rat.
