分层教学模式在大学英语网考教学中的应用与实践：一项实证研究( 张瑛 （上海电视大学，上海200433） 【摘要】 本研究旨在探索有效的教学模式和途径，解决成人学生全国英语网考通过率偏低的现实问题，总结和分析分层教学的理论基础和研究现状，将分层教学模式应用于远程开放教育的英语网考教学实践中。研究借助SPSS统计软件对收集的数据进行整合分析，主要采用定量分析和前-后测实验的研究设计，用实证方法证实了分层教学模式比传统的大班教学对网考通过率的提高更有效，研究表明分层教学对全国英语网考具有显著性的影响。据此提出了英语网考教学促进中心的建设方案，分析并总结了分层教学模式在远程开放教育体系中的自身特点。 【关键词】 分层教学模式；英语网考；通过率 An Empirical Study of the Application of Stratified Teaching Method in National Network-based English Examination Teaching ZHANG Ying (Shanghai TV University, Shanghai200433, China) Abstract: The study aims at finding an effective teaching method to solve the practical problem of low pass rate of National Network-based English Examination among adult students. Based on the summary and analysis of the theories and current study of stratified teaching, this teaching method is applied to the teaching practice of National Network-based English Examination in distance and open education. The research borrows the SPSS software to analyze the collected data, and mainly adopts qualitative data analysis and pretest-posttest design. The results reveal that the stratified teaching method is more efficient than the traditional whole-class teaching method, and has a significant effect on the examination result. The study puts forward a design of examination-based teaching enhancement center, and summarizes the unique features of stratified teaching method used in distance and open education. Key words: stratified teaching method; network-based English examination; pass rate 研究背景 （一）问题的提出 上海电视大学自2005年12月开始组织学生参加全国“大学英语（B）”网络统一考试（以下简称“英语网考”）以来，至今已有五年多的时间。据相关数据显示，从2005年12月至2008年4月考试期间，上海电大在该科目的通过率上一直保持在较高水平，平均达到85%左右。但是，自2008年6月起，英语网考在难度上作了相应的调整，这使得全国电视大学的考试通过率呈现单边下滑趋势，上海电大的考试通过率也骤然下降，通过率呈现上下波动，处于不稳定状态。由于英语网考难度的调整，同时根据相关授课教师和参加考试学生反映，最近几年，该考试出现难度加大，辅导材料的针对性偏弱，导致学生对通过英语网考的信心不足，参与面授辅导课的出勤率降低。种种原因导致英语网考的通过率在低位徘徊（张瑛，2010）。至此，英语网考显然成为电大学生的“拦路虎”，该课程成为电大本科阶段的“瓶颈”课程。能否有效提高考试通过率，按照国家制定的课程要求和社会发展需求来实施英语教学，不仅关系到学生能否达到相应的英语应用能力的目的，同时也涉及到电大能否顺利为社会培养当班人等各方面的发展问题，是亟待解决的一个棘手问题。
