Theresearch, published inthejournalAnnalsofInternalMedicine,lookedat17 studies comparing people who ate organic with those who did notand 223 studies that comparedthelevelsofnutrients,bacteria,fungus(真菌)orpesticidesinvariousf0ods— includingfruits, vegetables, grains, meats, milkand eggs. None ofthe human studies ran for longer than two years, making conclusions about long—term outcomesimpossible. And allofthe available evidence wasrelatively weak and highlyvariable--whichtheauthorssayisunsurprisingbecauseofallthedifferentvariables, likeweatherand soiltype, involved.
