JournalofMaterialsScienceandEngineeringB3(7)(2013)464-468 8 L l§H tN 珏 PrintingInks’CharaCteriStiCS KaterynaSavchenkoandOlenaVelychko ReprographyDepartment,ThePublishingandPrintingInstituteoftheNationalTechnicalUniversityofUkraineK“yivPolytechnic Institute”．Kiev03056．Ukraine Received：June13，2013／Accepted：July06，2013／Published：July25，20l3 Abstract：Hybridinksareoftenusedfortheadvertisingproductsbecauseavarietyofeffectscarlserveasanaddedvalue ． Much attentionispaidtotheinksapplicationsettings，usingthehybridinksatthehi-techoffsetequipmentandcolorfeaturesofimages． Thethoroughresearchofthedifferentprintingsettingswiththeuseofmoderninksandeffi cientequipment，isanurgentproblem ． Workrevealssomenew factsaboutcharacteristicsforprintabilitysuchasemulsificationandinfluencesofink’sadditivesoncolor characteristicsofimprints．Theexperimentalinksweredevelopedtodefinethetechnologicalsettingsofoffsetprinting．Theresultof researchshowedthatconventionalinkshavetheconsiderablyhighdegreeofemulsificationcomparingtoexperimentalhybridinks． Also itwasdiscoveredthattheUV componentsinfluencetheemulsification．Anoptimalwater．inkbalnaceand stableprinting processcanbeachievedwithaddingof2％-10％ oftheUV·componenttothehybridinks．Inksapplicationanddryingsettingsas wellascolorfeaturesoftheimprintsareanalyzedinthecontextofoffsetprinting． Keywords：Offsetprinting，UV-component，emulsification，printingink，hybridinks，colorcharacteristics． 1．Introduction 1nks without coating would be both dull and vulnerable to scratching
