Petroleum Engineering Drilling Site Production Practice Teaching Research HOU Xuejun Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering Institute Chongqing University of Science and Technology Chongqing 401331, China e-mail: boxking2004@ Abstract-It is one of the most important production practice teachings for petroleum engineering drilling professional to go to oil field drilling teams based outside campus. The paper analyses the college drilling production practice situation and researches five internship deficiencies on teacher resources, internships unit situations, practice contents, student status and internships conditions. Then the paper puts forward the corresponding improvement measures to promote drilling production practice teaching reform for the petroleum engineering drilling professional in off-campus drilling well site. It effectively improves teaching quality for drilling production practice based outside campus. Key words: Petroleum engineering; practices; drilling; production practice based outside campus; teaching reform; Introduction: Drilling site production practice (DSPP) is one of the most important practical teachings for drilling professional and will help college students combine the theoretical knowledge with the actual by practical training to Cultivate innovation and the overall quality of learning. It will lay a solid foundation for the follow-up professional courses learning. However, with the business restructuring and college enrollment increasing, the production practice teaching also appears many problems. Some college has established the drilling production practice (DPP) base in its campus. Because of various reasons, the campus DPP can not replaced the field DSPP. DPP Teaching exists some problems and will face with reform.
