* 第四节 数词 数词有两种，基数词和序数词。表示数目多少或顺序多少 的词叫基数词，如：one, two, twenty 等。基数词一般和可数名 词连用，表示两个或两个以上事物的名词要用复数形式，如： one book (一本书); three dogs (三条狗)。表示先后顺序的数词叫 序数词，如：first, second, third。 一、 巧记数词口诀 1.记基数词 1 至 12 要牢记，13 至 19 词尾要加-teen； thirteen, fifteen, eighteen 分别记； 20 至 90 整十数，每个词后都加-ty； 若要表示“几十几”，“个位”“十位”连号写； 若要表示“几百几”，hundred 之后 and 莫忘记。 2.记序数词： 一、二、三，特殊记； 八去 t，九去 e，ve 要用 f 替； 见 y 变成 i 和 e, 词尾加上 th； 若是遇到几十几，只变个位就可以。 二、数词的各种表达 1.分数 分子用基数词表示，分母用序数词表示，当分子大于 1 时， 分母的序数词用复数。如： 1/3—a/one third 3/5—three fifths 4/9—four ninths 注意： (1)特殊表达：1/2 是 a half(不可读a second), 1/4 是 a quarter 或 one fourth, 3/4 是 three quarters 或 three fourths。 (2)分数作主语时，谓语动词的单复数选择要依据分数后所 跟名词的单复数而定。如： Two fifths of the villagers are from South China.五分之二的 村民来自中国南方。 Two fifths of the food is from South China. 五分之二的食物 来自中国南方。 2.百分数 (1)百分号读作 percent, 如：30% 读作 thirty percent。 (2)百分数作主语时，谓语动词的单复数选择要依据百分数 后所跟名词的单复数而定。如： Sixty percent of the workers in this factory come from the countryside.这个工厂里面有 60%的工人来自农村。 Seventy percent of the earth is covered with water. 地球有 70%被水覆盖。 3.小数 对小数的表达，英语的习惯通常都不用文字而直接使用阿 拉伯数字。因此只学会读小数就已足够了，小数点以下的数目 通常都按个数直接读下去就可以(此点与中文读法相同)。 如： 0.5—half 0.25—point two five 0.2—point two/one fifth 0.092—point zero nine two 9.6 秒—nine point six seconds $2.5 million—two and a half million dollars 4.年、月、日的表达法 通常顺序为“月日，年”，年用基数词表示，日用序数词 表示。如： —Whats the date today？今天是几月几日？ —Its October 21st, 2009 today.今天是 2009 年 10 月 21 日。 5.年的读法 1906—Nineteen hundred and six/Nineteen o six 1997—Nineteen ninety-seven 2000—Two thousand 1900—Nineteen hundred 2008—Two thousand and eight 6.时间的表达法 (1)直读法：直接按顺序读出数字。如： 5：09—five o nine 6：25—six twenty-five 7：42—seven forty-two (2)整点钟后可加 oclock。如： Its five (oclock).现在五点整。 (3)逆读法：先读分钟，再读点钟。 ①30 分钟以内，包括 30 分钟，用介词 past，表示“几点过 几分”。 如： 8：05—five past eight 9：15—fifteen (a quarter) past nine 10：30—half past ten ②30 分钟以上，用介词 to，表示“几点差几分”。 如： 5：35—twenty-five to six 3：45—a quarter (fifteen) to four 9：5
