On one hand ,t hey are t he nodes of citybelt s of Shanghai to N anj ing ,Shanghai to Hanghzou ,and Hangzhou to N anj ing . On t he ot her hand ,t hey also are lo cated in t he perip hery of t he megacities of Shanghai ,N anj ing and Hangzhou . Based on t he analysis of t he basic law s and mechanisms of t he develop ment of t hese SMsCs ,t he findings are t hat t hese SMsCs depend mo stly on t he core cities and t hen rise up .
