The preliminary analysis performed on eleven court cases in Australia involving Queensland Police Service information systems audit trails presented as evidence was reported in the first paper. This second paper relates the findings in the first paper to normal requirements for trusted maintenance of audit trail information in sensitive environments and discusses the ability and/or willingness of courts to fully challenge, assess or value audit evidence presented.
