Although tea wasn’t brought to the Western world until 1610, this beverage was discovered over three thousand years before that. The emperor noticed that the leaves in the water produced a pleasant smell. And in this way, one of the world’s favorite drinks was invented. 能力目标 读:通过学习本课短文,能够读懂有关发明创造的文章。 说:利用所给提示,能比较流畅地复述课文。 写:能用本节课所学知识,描述某项发明创造的历史。 情感目标 通过学习本课了解发明的历史,开阔视野,扩大知识面。 【重点难点】 重点:熟练掌握本课的短语及句型。 难点:复述课文,描述某项发明创造的历史。 【教学过程】 I. 复习热身 1、检查生词预习 1)正音;齐读本课单词,让学生自己指出发音有误的单词,由教师集体正音,并领读。 2)听写:让学生以小组为单位互相批改,小组长汇报听写情况。对听写全对者提出表扬, 对出错较多的词在黑板上提出集体更正,并告诉学生要根据发音记单词。 2、自由交谈 师生问答: —How were potato chips invented? —They were invented by mistake. —When were they invented? —They were invented in 1853. —Who were they invented by? —They were invented by George Crum. 2)为新课铺垫。 T: We now know that potato chips were invented by mistake, but do you know that tea, the most popular drink in the world, was invented by accident? Who invented tea? Let’s read 3a (the article) if you want to know about it. II. 阅读训练 1. 速读 教师检查预读情况,先速读,让一名学生说出本短文的主要内容,其他学生补充。 2. 细读 1)和学生一起读文后的问题,让学生带着问题再次阅读短文并找出问题的答案。 2)检查答案。让个别学生读出答案。 Answers: 1. The article is about the invention of tea. 2.
