4.2 High Order Laue Zone (高阶劳厄带) All diffraction spots in a simple electron diffraction pattern satisfy Weiss zone law hu+kv+lw=0. 晶带定律 The diffraction spots are contributed by the reciprocal points of reciprocal plane (uvw) * 0 which pass through the origin point of the reciprocal lattice space. All diffraction spots are in one set of spot grid (2D spot grid). In fact, the radius of the Ewald sphere is not infinite and the Ewald sphere may intersect with other reciprocal planes (uvw)* which are parallel to the reciprocal plane (uvw) *. 0 SOLZ FOLZ ZOLZ This may generate other diffraction spots. The indices of these spots satisfy hu+kv+lw=N (N=0, 1,  2,  3,…) 广义晶带定律 N=0, Zero Order Laue Zone (ZOLZ) (corresponding to simple diffraction pattern) N0, High Order Laue Zone (HOLZ) N =1, First Order Laue Zone (FOLZ) N =2, Second Order Laue Zone (SOLZ) The analysis of high order Laue zone is very useful to the phase SOLZ analysis and study of orientation. FOLZ ZOLZ The Common HOLZ (1) Symmetrical Laue zones (2) Asymmetrical Laue zones (3) Superimposed Laue zones Symmetrical Laue zones The incident electron beam is perpendicular to the reciprocal planes (uvw)*. The spots of the diffraction pattern lie within circular bands, with either no spots or only very weak spots between the bands. In practice, the central zero or
