With the help of guessing game, listening practice and conversations, modal verbs are used to develop students’ language skills. Therefore the lesson will lay a foundation for the future.Analysis of studentsStudents of Grade 9 have learned English for at least 3years. They have learned some skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing. But students are especially afraid of speaking English in front of people. So I always encourage them to be active in every class.Part II Teaching aimsAims of the knowledge:Students can master vocabularies and language structures.Aims of the abilities:Learn to use modal verbs to show their own speculations.Be able to guess and analyze a kind of state and give the reasons.Aims of the emotion:To make students be interested in communication and cooperation.Part III Teaching important and difficult points1.
