Period 3 The analysis of the teaching contents: The topic of this unit is Do you like pears?. It’s about fruit. The topic is related to our daily life, so it is helpful to raise the Ss learning interests. This lesson is the third period of this unit. In the last two periods, the students have learnt the new words about fruit, new patterns: I like …/I don’t like…/ Do you like…? to express what fruit they like/don’t like. In this period, the students will learn how to respond to people’s providing according to their favorite fruit and express their thanks. The most important point in this period is students’ comprehensive application of the target language. The analysis of the students: The students have learnt the new words about fruit, new patterns: I like …/I don’t like…/ Do you like…? to express what fruit they like/don’t like. The students are happy to get in touch with new things. They are willing to play interesting games. They like to read pictures books. Teaching aims and demands Knowledge aims 1.To revise the fruit words: apple, pear, banana, orange, grape, watermelon, strawberry. 2.To make the students know how to respond to people’s providing with Thanks, I like …\ Sorry, I don’t like … , can I have some…? Ability aims To develop the Ss abilities, esp. listening, speaking and reading ability. To train the Ss ability of working in groups. To develop the Ss abilities of comprehensive application of the language. Emotional aims 1. To enable the Ss to love English learning and be polite in real life. 2. To develop the Ss consciousness of cooperation. 3. To develop the Ss’ consciousness of reading after class.
