2. To introduce oneself.

To greet new friends properly.

Teaching contents:

Phrases: look after good morning good afternoon good evening
Patterns: What’s your name? My name is …
I’m … Nice to meet you.
Teaching procedures:
Step 1: Exchange some personal information with the Ss (name etc.).
Greetings A: Meeting new friends in our English book.

Learn to greet each other
Step 2: Greetings B
1. Teach Ss to sing a song called “Good morning to you”.
2. “Greetings” on page 7 Greetings at different times
3. Practise and fill in the blanks in the book.
4. Greetings C: Learn more greetings.
For example, Hi/Hello/…What’s your name?
How do you do?/Nice to meet you/How are you/…
Step 3: Present the new words.

Show the comic strip to the Ss.
Questions:
