写作课件-11-12

Old Man An Old-looking Old Fellow The words referred to a broad, round-shouldered, one-sided(斜着身子走路的)old fellow in mourning(穿着丧服), coming comically ambling towards the corner, dressed in a pea(豆绿色) overcoat, and carrying a large stick. He wore thick shoes, and thick leather gaiters(长筒橡胶鞋), and thick gloves like a hedger’s(修整树篱者). Both as to his dress and to himself(从他的装束和他本人来看), he was of an overlapping rhinoceros(满身皱折的犀牛) build, with folds in his cheeks, and his forehead, and his eyelids, and his lips, and his ears; but with bright, eager, childishly-inquiring(孩子般好奇的)grey eyes, under his ragged(乱蓬蓬的)eyebrows, and broad-brimmed hat(宽檐帽子). He had a manner of screwing (偏向一侧)his head on one side when he spoke; and of looking out of the corners of his eyes at the same time: which irresistibly(难以抵抗地,情不自禁地) remained the beholder(旁人)of a parrot. (Charles Dickens, Oliver Twist) A Strange Old Man In one of the cells, among the exiles, Nekhlyudov recognized, to his surprise, the strange old he had met on the ferry that morning. All wrinkled, tattered(衣服褴褛)and barefoot, his only garments a dirty ash-grey(灰白色的)shirt and trousers, the shirt torn on one shoulder, the old fellow was sitting on the floor beside his bunk and looking st
