2010 CMTANC YOUTH MUSIC COMPETITION in Flute and Chinese Instrument 2010 CMTANC 青少年兒童長笛 、古箏、二胡音樂比賽 Presented by CHINESE MUSIC TEACHERS ASSOCIATION OF NORTHERN CALIFORNIA 北加州中國音樂教師協會主辦 GOAL: This competition provides music students with an opportunity to exhibit their talent, reward their hard work, and encourage them to appreciate music of diverse cultural origins. ELIGIBILITY: Students of all nationalities through age 17 or grade 12. CATEGORY: Flute 、古箏 (Zheng)、二胡(Er-Hu) AGE GROUPS: The contestants age as of April 20, 2010 (application deadline) will determine the age eligibility for each group. The Flute, Zheng and Er-Hu categories have different age divisions. 古箏古箏 二胡二胡 Group Flute 古箏古箏 二胡二胡 Group A Age 11 or under Age 11 or under Age 11 or under Group B Ages 12-14 Ages 12-14 Ages 12-14 Group C Ages 15-17 or grade 12 Ages 15-17 or grade 12 Ages 15-17 or grade 12 PRELIMINARY AUDITION: A screening panel of judges will select the finalists from the taped auditions to participate in the final competition. All contestants will receive their evaluations by May 15, 2010. FINAL COMPETITION: ♦ Date: June, 5, 2010 (Saturday) ♦ Place: San Jose State University, School of Music, San Jose, California ♦ Winners will be announced at the end of competition and website.
