It is one of the important factors to influence the healthy, steady development of national economy of China. In the recent years, with the foreign copper metallurgy industry being stronger and stronger, the copper metallurgy industry in China, was faced with difficulties. Taking into account its developing situations and combined with my experiences in a representative company of copper metallurgy industry in China, the paper comes into being. Based on the SWOT analyzing method, the paper analyzes the copper metallurgy industry in China comprehensively. It analyzes the opportunities in the aspects of macro-economic environment, financial environment, industry policy and the Chinese copper demand. It also analyzes the threats in the aspects of the high import dependence of the copper material, the policy bottleneck, and ineffective barrier of the dummy economy protection of the substantial economy in some extent. Then, it analyzes the strengths in the aspects of the idiosyncrasy of the Chinese copper metallurgy industry, the linkage effect of the relative industry, the management tenet of the Chinese copper metallurgy corporations, and the pot
