Unit 1 Human Touch Objectives: Learn to encourage people and tell stories. Try to master some new words and expressions. Learn to write thank-you letter. Moral education: Guide the students to help and encourage each other and never let go; guide the students to understand generation gap properly. Moving Stories 1 Step one: Warm-up Step two: Discussion Step three: Listening (Part 1-4) Step four: Reading (Part 5-7) Step five: Writing Step one: Warm-up Picture description and story telling: Look at those pictures on Page 1, discuss in groups, then tell stories. (5 minutes for discussion and 10 minutes for telling in class) Step two: Discussion Which do you think is the most important in one’s lifetime, faith, hope or love? Step three: Listening (Part 1-4) 1.Guiding questions: What do you know about the movie of ‘Titanic’? What do you think is the most moving part / point in this movie? 2. Listen to the song: What do you think about the song? Step three: Listening (Part 1-4) Try to understand those expressions for encouraging: 1. You must do me this honor. 2.
