With high efficiency, low cost, quick communication and fair competitionand, Electronic commerce has been paid more attention by many countries. And it is developing faster and faster.Mastering electronic commerce, maybe you can occupy supernormal development. A survey of electronic commerce is introduced, including the defenition, the development, the operating patterns and the factors that restrict development of electronic commerce. Then the Electronic Commerce System is decribed, including the concept, the structrue and the transaction procedure of the sysetm. An contrastive analysis of C/S model and B/S model is presented. The programming language of C++ and Visual C++ developing platform are introduced. The programming principle of socket and ODBC database access technology are clarified. The focus is the design and development of credit card server in electronic commerce system. Working pinciple and process of system are introduced, credit card server working flow and correspondence protocol are elaborated, and credit card server model using the C/S pattern is established.
