Quantitative and qualitative abnormality of MSCs plays an important role in the pathogenesis of some hematologic diseases. With the application of MSCs, the therapeutic effects on non-malignant hematological diseases (aplastic anemia, immune thrombocytopenia), hematologic malignancies and the hemopoietic stem cell transplantation have been improved significantly, while the mechanism and the safety are still needed to be explored.
