The result shows the germaniumcontaining fabric has the characteristics of releasing negative ion, far-infrared and antibacterial property and the property indexes meet the requirements of national standards. About the negative ion property, the negative ion content of germanium-containing fabric is maintained at the medium level with the increase of Ge content. For the far infrared property, the infrared emission emissivity of the germanium-containing fabric can be improved slightly with the increase of Ge content, and the temperature rise is maintained at 1. 5℃. with regard to the antibacterial property, the inhibitory rates of Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus are 99% and above even when the Ge content is as low as 0. 53 mg/kg and the inhibitory rate
