Gimjang refers to the South Korea pickle customs which is about salting ② in winter, always at the beginning of winter. The main material is vegetables. Other ingredients include fruits, seafood, raw fermented meat, etc. The tasty refreshing and nourishing Kimchi is the indispensable main appetizer in an Korea table. A famous saying goes like this--- “A meal without Kimchi is not served for Korean! ” . The Association with China In the South Korean kimchi culture, there exists profound Chinese Confucianism culture traces ①. In China, “ The Book of Songs“(诗经) has a word called ”Zu” (“菹”). It‘s explained as sour pickled cabbage in the dictionary, just the one had introduced to the South Korea. It was taken to Korea at Three Kingdoms Period(三国时期).
