( What is she afraid of … Wrong ) (2)主语从句后谓语动词用第三人称单数 That they haven’t phoned is strange.; what 与that 在引导主语从句时的区 别 what 引导主语从句时在句时在从句中充当句子成分，如主语．宾语．表语，而that 则不然。例如： 1) What you said yesterday is right. 2) That she is still alive is a consolation. ;1.Where shall we spend the holiday isn’t decided.;宾语从句 从句在复合句中作宾语的名词性从句，通常放在主句谓语动词（及物动词）或介词之后。 （1）由that引导的宾语从句（that通常可以省略） I know (that) Henry must be worried about what will happen to him. （2）由what，whether (if), how ,why等引导的宾语从句 I can’t yet tell you whether I like this play or not. Henry must be worried about what will happen to him. （3）介词后面的宾语从句 The teacher is pleased with what she has said.;否定的转移：若主句谓语动词为think, consider, suppose, believe, expect, guess, imagine等，其后的宾语从句若含有否定意义，一般要把否定词转移到主句谓语上，从句谓语用肯定式。如： I don’t think this dress fits you well. Roderick don’t believe that a man can survive in the city for a month with only a million pound bank-note in his possession I don’t suppose you will finish the work today. I hope he won’t give up.;It 作形式宾语： it常可以放在动词think, find, consider, believe, feel, make等后作为形式宾语. 结构为：主语+hear/think..+it+adj./n.+宾语从句 We heard it that she would get married next month. We think it important that every student should obey school rules.;宾语从句的时态特点：宾语从句的时态主要取决于主句的时态。主句是一般现在时时，从句允许使用任何时态。当主句时态为过去时时，从句时态除表示“真理、格言、谚语、客观存在、科学事实”用一般现在时外，一律用过去范畴的相应时???，根据具体情况作相应的变化。如： My teacher told me that light travels faster than sound does.
