由铁矿石价格之争看中国资源定价权

近年来,国际铁矿石市场供需力量失衡导致了铁矿石价格逐年攀升。中国是世界铁矿石市场最大的买家,却一直以来都是铁矿石价格的被动接受者。在06、07年的价格谈判之后,铁矿石继续涨价19%和9.5%的现实反映出中国钢铁企业在价格谈判中起到的作用仍十分有限,中国钢企和下游产业将继续承受高价铁矿石带来的恶果。这一现象背后反映出中国资源定价话语权的缺失:在国际市场中,中国要买什么,什么涨价,而中国要卖什么,什么就降价。研究国际资源定价话语权的重要性在于其对国际贸易利益分配的影响,进而决定了一个国家(地区)走开放型经济发展道路的最终结果In the recent years, the imbalance of power between the buying party and the selling party in the international iron ore market has resulted in the upraising price of the international iron ore. Being the largest buyer in the world, China, however, has always been a passive accepter of the skyrocketing ore price. The contracted price of the imported iron ore increased by 19% and 9.5% respectively in the international price negotiation 2006 and 2007, reflecting the fact that the Chinese steel enterprises still have very limited influencing power in the price fixing negotiation process and that they as well as the downstream industries will undoubtedly endure the disastrous effect of the expensive iron ore. The original issue hided behind those superficial phenomena is China’s deficiency of negotiation power in settling the price of international natural resources:In the international market, the price ascended when China want to buy and descended when China want to sell. The study of the price fixing power in the international natural resources trade is essential, in that, it affects the distribution of interests in the international trade, and therefore masters the final results of a country (region) that adopts a way of development in open economy. Consequently, it is the right time to break the ice and promote China’s price fixing power in the international trade of natural resources.
Based on the economic principle of supply and demand, the competitive advantage of a country and imperfect competition, this dissertation stems from the analysis of the buying and selling parties in the worldwide iron ore market, and, to dig into the essence, uses economic model to explain the cause of the uprising
