Methods 65 cases of rheumatic heart diseasesunderwent heart teleroentgenography before and after operation, and the cardiothorac ic ratio, the convex degree of pulmonary trunk and left auricle, right atrium height/cardiac height ratio weremeasured respectively. The av erage observing tmi ewas( 295 224) d. The datawere analyzed using independent- samples t- test, Paired- samples t- test, Bivariate and Kaplan- M eier. Results The hearts decreased in size in 76. 9% cases after valve replacement and the cardiothoracic ratio, convex de gree of pulmonary trunk and leftauricle, right atrium height/cardiac height ratio were relatedw ith the clinical andX- ray indexesbefore op eration. The change of cardiothoracic ratio was obviousmostlyw ithin 90 d after operation. Conclusion Radiologic exam ination can indicate the dynam ic variation of heart shape and function after valve replacement.
