In particular, the current state of the art for MM in GSM/GPRS, UMTS and BRAN networks is described, also through references to standardisation activities and documents. Special attention is devoted to define a reference scenario for the CELLO project and to approach the major issues related to MM for heterogeneous wireless networks.
