Your goal will be to create a Web Mapping application that compares the location and magnitude of past earthquakes with urban areas and cities. This application will help those interested in relocating to California decide where to live. You will create a cache to maximize performance – specifically a fused cache to allow others to use the service in your Web mapping application. In this exercise, you will: ▪ Create a map service ▪ Import a tiling scheme from ArcGIS Online and generate a fused map cache ▪ Explore the tools and options available for working with caches ▪ Create a Web mapping application to use the cached map service Step 1: Review the map document You will first explore the map document that you will use to create your map service.
