The main features of VOSviewer can be summarized as follows :  Creating maps based on network data. Maps can be created based directly on the adjacency matrix of a network, but it is also possible to create maps of publications, authors, or journals based on bibliographic coupling, co-citation, or co-authorship networks extracted from Web of Science or Scopus data.
