(Book7 Module 2) ?????????????????? ????????????? 淄博实验中学??? 张晓华 Teaching Objectives: ★ Language Objectives: ☆ Students can get a general understanding of the reading passage. ☆ Students can understand some of the new words and sentences and sum up the outline of the passage. ★ Skill Objectives: ☆ Students can practise such reading strategies as skimming, scanning, inferring and summarizing. ☆ Students can describe school life with useful expressions and sentences. ★ Emotional objectives: ☆Students can learn about the activities in American schools and cultivate optimistic attitudes towards senior high school life. Teaching Focus Students can get the gist of the reading passage and express oneself freely on this topic. Teaching Difficulties: To cultivate students’ creativity and thinking skill and to encourage them to apply what has be learned to practice. Teaching Aids: Worksheet, ppt Teaching Procedures: Step One Lead- in Show the students several photos of their class in senior high school and lead them into the atmosphere of sharing school life. Then, tell the students that they will meet 4 challenges in this class. To challenge the reading speed; To challenge the understanding memory; To challenge the speaking; To challenge the writing.
