机械工程专业认知实习项目 一、清华-圣母大学工程实践项目 时间：暂定于7 月4 日至8 月19 日（共7 周） 地点：北京 人数：南科大学生4 人 （中美学生混合编组） 指导老师：李学崑 内容：GE-健康公司和Timken 轴承公司项目，具体如下： 1、Large wind bearing online monitoring system Background This is a unitized large tapered bearing in direct drive wind turbine. It includes one double cup (outer ring) and two single cones (inner ring) and one cone spacer. Bearing setting is achieved through the cone spacer at bearing plant. Many bearings have been manufactured; we will need to pick one set for condition monitoring. The project will need to select proper parameters and set up bearing monitoring system for this application; the system should be able to provide some early warning signals to operator. And the data can be recorded for analysis. The project needs to be finished within 3 months. System description: It is mounted on a stub shaft with 60 M39 bolts; bearing is clamped to the shaft by clamping plate at the end of the shaft and these long bolts through the cone holes. Cone bore and cup OD is exposed, no shaft and housing for the bearing to fit in. The required grease was added to the bearing already. Bearing is installed at vertical axis position at assembly shop. At wind farm installed condition, it is horizontal axis condition. Application drawings are attached. In the nacelle, there is a flat working area (people can stand on), and there is a frame we can use if needed, we can see and access the bolts head easily. The application is outer ring rotation, inner ring stationary. Max rotating speed: 20 rpm. Bearing dimension: 1400 *2100 *400 mm Pitch diameter of M39 bolts: 1520 mm Nacelle material: cast iron Bearing material: case carburized low carbon allow steel Surface hardness: HRC 58~64 Deliverables:  What kind of monitoring parameters should be used to monitor the healthy condition of the bearing  Determine sensors and monitoring system layout  Modification or extra mounting
