The Huangyaguan Pass, as the top of the ten scenic spots in Tianjin, concentrates the greatest part of the Great Wall of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644 A. D.), with rich cultural connotations. The bright lights along the Haihe River and their reflection on the water add radiance and charm to each other, offering picturesque sceneries. The Jade Buddha Palace has been completed and put into pilot operation, and will officially be open to the public by the end of August. The Five Major Avenues boasts over 2,000 garden-style mansions built in 1920s and 1930s, featured by different western architectural styles, synonymous with what is called “ the Exotic-styled Mansions of Tianjin”.
