Craftsman spirit, advocating excellence, dedication, concentration, diligence, innovation and motivation, has already been the core value of the era in engineering ethics education of China. Tn the past decades, however, engineering education at colleges and universities in China have been ignoring the engineering ethics education with the consequence that engineering students as a whole were in want of craftsman spirit and engineering ethics consciousness. The deficiency in engineering ethics education at universities and colleges in China is a major cause for the Chinese engineering college students inabilities in cultivating craftsman spirit. Only by making a contrast between the engineering ethics education in China and the Western worlds, will we update the traditional comprehension in craftsman spirit, endow the college students with the new eras engineering ethics education, and explore the ways to cultivate engineering college students craftsman spirit.
