By collecting some error translation of public signs date such as: Route sign, Traffic signs, Organization Names, Tourism signs and shopping mark. By studies, the fault of the public signs in English contain language errors and nonverbal mistakes.Nonverbal mistakes including miscommunication and function skewed causing the translation can not apropos express the information of the Chinese public signs. In general the study of the translation of public signs is very meaningful and important. The translators should pay attention on the strategy and tenet in order to express the correct meaning of the information and the Chinese cultural. Therefore, this paper is provided with social value and practical value.
