RFID technology can identify high-speed moving objects and can identify multiple tags,the operation is fast and convenient. From the basic principle of RFID technology, theis paper analyzed the main parts of the RFID system, present situation of RFID technology in logistics and transport applications and proposed the restriction of RFID technology lies in cost, safety and technology requirements, etc. The application of RFID technology in railway transport operations mainly embodies in railway storage, transportation and tracking, etc. First, the design thought of RFID technology in warehouse management system was proposed and the framework of storage system was analyzed, the main function of cargo management was designed. Secondly, for the containers in the process of railway transportation, this paper identified the information classification of container, model design, models of function module design by using RFID technology. Railway transportation tracking problem is an important problem of railway transportation safety, RFID technology can through real-time management to realize real-time process of railway transport goods, this paper design a railway transportation tracking system, and the option of computer software and hardware were analyzed.
