She received her Ph.D. in in- formation systems and M.S. in economics at the University of texas at austin. her research interests include innovation, business models, and online advertising. She is an associate editor of Decision Support Systems. Shaojin Li is an assistant professor of finance at the School of Finance, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. She received her Ph.D. in economics from the University of texas at austin. her research focuses on understanding the impact of frictions, such as information friction and financial friction, on firms’ investment activities and aggregate economy. She is also interested in understanding the impact of different market structures on firms’ pricing decisions, innovation, and economic growth. She has presented her work at major economic conferences, including the North american Summer Meeting of the Econometric Society. andrew B. whinSton is hugh Cullen Chair Professor in the Information, risk, and Operation Management Department at the McCombs School of Business at the Univer- sity of texas at austin. he is also the director at the Center for research in Electronic Commerce and editor-in-chief of Decision Support Systems. his recent papers have appeared in Information Systems Research, Management Science, Marketing Science, Journal of Marketing, and Journal of Economic Theory. he has published over 300 papers in the major economic and management journals and has authored 27 books. In 2005, he received the Leo award from the association for Information Systems for his long-term research contribution to the information system field.
