B.understand the similarities and differences among different festivals reflecting different cultures and be aware of the cultural differences. c.write a short passage about festivals and come up with their own opinions. 2 Ability aims A Develop students’ reading skill by extensive reading and enable them to learn how to use different reading skills to read different materials. B Enable students to tell about festivals to honor the dead, festivals in memory of famous people, harvest festivals and Spring Festivals. C Let students to describe or write a passage about Spring Festivals in their own words. 3 Affective goals A Stimulate students’ love of Chinese festivals and culture and learn foreign culture and customs.
