My idea is that we should do it right now. 4.I had no idea that you were her friend. 名词从句的功能 功能相当于名词词组, 它在复合句中能担任主语、宾语、表语、同位语、介词宾语等,因此根据它在句中不同的语法功能,名词从句又可分为四类。 引导名词性从句的连接词 归纳 为了使句子保持平衡,常用it来代替主语从句或宾语从句,而把主语从句或宾语从句放到后面,尤其是连词that引导的主语从句常用于此种句式中。 主语从句 How the book will sell depends on its author. That he is the best student in the class is obvious 主语从句常用it作形式主语放句首 因而我们常见到这种句式: It+be+n./adj/-ed从句(that, whether,etc.) 例:Its a pity that you should have to leave. It is great that I have a teacher like you. 宾语从句 I worry about whether he can pass through the crisis of his illness. 宾语从句 Now I want to know what I can do. John said that he was leaving for London on Wednesday 表语从句 The fact is that he has not been seen recently.  同位语从句 同位语与其前的词或短语表达的是同一事物。如: The fact that she is ill should be considered. 同位语从句一般在下列词的后面 belief, fact, fear, hope, idea, news, problem, reason, result, possibility等。如: I have no idea when he will return. 不同连词引导的同位语从句 引导同位语从句的连词除that外,还可以用how, when, where, why, 等。 He can’t answer the question how he got the money. IV.关联词的区分 1. that 与 what 2. if 与 whether 3. who 与 whoever 4.what 与 whatever 1.用that 或what 填空 1. I wonder if this is ______you are looking for. 2. Our school is quite different from _______ it was before. 3. Father made a promise ______ if I passed the examination he would buy me a computer. 4._______ I can’t understand is why he has changed his mind. 5.________the earth is round is known to us all. 归纳: (what, whatever, who, whoever) 1._________ was said here must be kept secret. 2. _______we need is more time. 3._______ made the long distance call to him is not important. 4._________ breaks the law will be punished. 归纳 who,whoever/what, whatever ? ___________________等引导的名词性从句不含有疑问意义,相当于名词后加一个定语从句,而 ____________________等引导的名词性从句都含有疑问意义。 引导名词性从句不可省略的连词: 引导主语从句、表语从句和同位语从句的连词不可省略
