The Report on My Internship I Purpose Form April 11th to May 6th, I spent my time at Zhengzhou Light Industry Vocational College as an intern and I worked as an assist teacher there. The purpose of this is very clear ----to give me a chance to check if I really have gained knowledge during my three years’ college life ;to see if I have been well prepared for my future life, if not ,to know where my strengths and weaknesses lie and improve the strengths and correct the weakness. In a word, the purpose of the internship is to perfect me for my coming career life. II Content During the period, I assisted Mr.Feng to give lectures to about 90 students, majoring in accounting and belonging to two classes, ie.class1and class3. At the very beginning, I was told that the students were not very good at English and also did not pay much attention to it because English was not their major. My work was to deliver lectures to the student on unit 6, Dreams in two weeks time, that’s to say I had eight class hours at m y disposal. To be honest, I was both excited and nervous. I was excited because I finally could be a teacher myself after having just been a student for so many years and though I don not to intend to be a English teacher after graduating, I still think teaching an interesting jab; I was also very for I never spoke in front of so many people and it would have to be hours long, what if I make a mistake? Then I began to make preparations for the classes. Bearing in mind that my students are actually at almost the same age with me, I made up my mind to introduce something new into the classes, which should not be spoon-fed, nor be boring; it should be full of interests and laughers. I just wanted to be one of them; and I wanted to be treated as a friend. I read the textbook thoroughly and took notes of what I thought was important and should be pointed to the students.
