They are: Chinese, Russian, English, Greek, German, Arabic, Spanish, Japanese and French. These nine languages are the most commonly used ones in the world, especially English. It’s the international language for people from different countries communicating with each other. In this lesson we will learn something more about language. But firstly I want you to discuss the following questions: No.1 Tom, What language do you speak? Tom just said he speaks Chinese and English. No.2 Amy, Can you speak other language? Ok, Amy just said no. No.3 Jerry, it’s your turn. Do you think that language is the only way people communicate with each other? Jerry thinks language is not the only way people communicate with each other. No.4 Mike, this question is more like a challenge: What other methods of communication can you think of? Ok, good. Mike just said we can make use of our body, voice and gesture to show ourselves, such as enheng, hush, and the gesture of “stop”….and so on. Well done, good job!
