lead Ss to talk about Jim’s friend Xinxin by answering some questions:1.What’s her name? 2.Is she Jim’s sister? 3.Where is she from? 4.How many people are there in her family? Who are they? 5.What is her favourite subject? 6.What is she good at?
Ask Ss to talk about Xinxin’s brother Yangyang with the help of the personal information card.

Lead Ss to complete the short text about Xinxin and Yangyang.(Worksheet Ex. II)
Step3
Ask Ss to observe the sample sentences, and classify the words into pronouns and possessive adjectives.
Step4
Ask Ss to look at the table in Ex.5 and put the pronouns that are not on the worksheet into the correct group. Then ask Ss to check the answers in pairs, and then in class.

Ask Ss to answer the questions about Xinxin and Yangyang to lead to the numbers:How old are Xinxin and Yangyang?
Ask Ss to write the missing numbers in Ex. 6.

Have Ss play a game: Say the players’ numbers as quickly as the can.

Ask Ss to listen to the dialogue and write the ages of the children.
