Cases Part 1 Introduction Since the creation of the Incoterms rules by ICC in 1936, it has been regularly updated to keep pace with the development of international trade. On 1 January 2011, the ICC’s Incoterms 2010 come into force. These are the eighth revision of the Incoterm Rules. (1936, 1953, 1967, 1976, 1980, 1990, 2000, 2010) Why does ICC revise the rules? Part 1 Introduction The new Rules have been revised, to take into account of developments in international trade over the past ten years as the volume and complexity of global sales has increased, (全球贸易总量和复杂程度增加) to address security issues arising in recent times, (更加重视货物的安全问题) to provide for the ongoing changes in electronic communication (电子沟通在商务中的不断增多), The new Rules also recognize the growth of customs-free areas. Incoterms? 2010 2.1 Main changes in the structure: 13 terms V.S. 11 terms Four terms were eliminated (DAF, DEQ, DES, DDU) and two were added: Delivered at Place (DAP) and Delivered at Terminal (DAT).
