车道长度主路外侧车道车流量对于车辆汇入概率的影响规律结果表明: 当主路外侧车道流量较低时, 车辆在加速
车道始端较近距离内就可以寻找到可汇入间隙; 而当主路流量较大时, 车辆在加速车道始端汇入主路的概率大大降
低另外, 随着加速车道长度的增加, 驾驶员在加速车道上的汇入紧迫感下降, 会导致相同位置汇入概率的降低

Abstract: Considering thevehicles. changeable critical headwaywhen driving along the acceleration lane of an onO
ramp, a vehicle merging model was proposed using differential method1 This model well considered the effect of
roads geometry characteristic and major road traffic conditions on driver. s merging behavior1 It also revealed the
regularity of the effect of length of acceleration lane and traffic flow of main road shoulder lane on the merging
probability1 The numerical result shows that ( 1) When the lane has a lower traffic flow, drivers are easily tofind a
merging opportunity near the beginning of the acceleration lane; while a lager traffic flow arrives, the merging
probability near the nose section will be significantly reduced1 (2) The drivers. tendency to mergewill reduce along
with the increase of acceleration lane length, and themerging probability decreases at the same site1
