How do go to school?
Hello, everyone! It’s my great honor to stand here to present my teaching ideas with all of you. Today my teaching topic is unit 4 “How do you get to school?” Section A Grade 8. In my class, I divide my teaching plan into 6 parts, they are teaching material, students’ analysis, teaching methods and leaning strategies, teaching aids, teaching procedure and blackboard design. Now I will introduce my teaching plan one by one, please follow me into the first part, teaching material,
First analysis of teaching material Go for It. It is a series of textbooks compiled for junior middle school students. The central idea of it is to challenge students to gain communicative competence in the study of the culture of this language. Each unit is divided into two parts, they are section A and section B, section A’s aim is to make students master the basic language content. The section B is the expansion of knowledge and integrated use of language. In section a students have learned the basic structure, I go to school by bus, it takes me 30 minutes. In section b students have to use the structure to talk about how do they go to some places and how long does it take.
Teaching objectives. I divide the objectives into knowledge objectives, ability objectives and moral objectives.
Firstly, knowledge objectives. In this unit, students should try their best to master some new words, useful expression and structure.
Secondly, ability objectives. in the language learning process, the four skills are inseparable and mutual interactive, they all contribute to develop their language skill Meanwhile focus will be laid on improving their reading strategies to enhance their autonomous learning strategies.
Next, moral objectives. According to the new standard of English curriculum, moral education plays an important role in language teaching. In this unit, through all kinds of teaching activities, students can have a positive attitude to the environments.
