Thedesignof asystemused forunderground personal orientationandattendanceAbstractCoalindustryinthenationaleconomyhasoccupiedaveryimportantpositioninChina; accordingtothespecificsituationofthecoalresourcesandtheoutdated security-automationmanagement.Therearestillmanycoalmine-disastershappenedinour life.Thesafeproductionandthescientificmanagementhavebecomethehugelimitsonthe developmentofcoalindustry.Therefore,thedesignofautomationmanagement system whichissuitableforChinascoalmineisnecessary.Thesystemforundergroundpersonal orientationandattendancehas graduallybecomethefocus ofconcerncoalindustry.Thesystemwhichconsists ofundergroundpersonalorientationandattendanceis based ontheRFIDtechnologyinthispaper.CombinedwithdesignrequirementsofXinYucoal mineinShanxi,wedesignedasetofsuitablesafeproductionmanagementoftheminers andattendancesystemformediumand smallcoalmineinourChina.PCsRS232 interfacewhichisconvertedtotheCANbusinterfacebyconverting Bridgesandconnectedwithvariousstationsunderground,thenstructurethesystem architecture.ThesystemscompletethecommunicationsbetweenthePCandvarious stationsundergroundthroughthebackstagebackenddatacommunicationmodule.Through theRFIDtechnologypersonnelsserialnumbermessagewillbetransformedandsavedin thereceivingstation,whichwilltransformthepersonnel’sorientationtothePCthrough datacommunicationslink.Afteranalysis,dataprocessing,displayingandpairing,thePC programwilldepositthedatainadatabaseforthepersonalorientationmoduleandthe attendancemoduletouse.Thissystemisdevelopedinthe.NETprogrammingenvironmentbytheC#language ontheMapXcontrolofthesecondtimebasedontheSQLServer2000database.Systemis dividedintothreemainfunctionmodules:thebackstagedatacommunicationmodule,the personalorientationmoduleandthepersonalattendancemodule.Afteramassofdebugsandoptimization,thefunctionalmodules,stablerunning,hasreachedthetargetofdesign andalsogotagoodpracticalvalueandpracticalsignificance.Completingthedesignofthis wholesystem,thepaperputsforwardsomethingneedto improvedas
