They can understand some simple English words and sentences. Most of them have a great interest in English now. This lesson is about what you likes and dislikes. The question that talking about what you like is simple for our students. Try to encourage them to be active to talk about what they likes and dislikes. So teacher must guide and help them a lot .Using music and pictures ,let them relax,then ask some students to talk about what they like and what they don’t like, then tell the others the reasons. Talking about likes and dislikes Analysis of the teaching material 1.Status and Function This is an important lesson in Book One. This lesson talks about what you like and what you don’t like ,they are very interested in it.After learning the lesson,they will express what they like and what they don’t like. This lesson is the second part of Unit 9.So if the Ss can learn it well, it will be helpful to make the Ss learn the rest of this unit. Such a text is related to daily life, so it is helpful to raise their learning interests and it will be also helpful to improve their spoken English.
