Customer Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT) Apparel ;Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT) was launched in November 2001, is the government-private sector partnership to emerge from the terrorist attacks on Sept 11, 2001. To protect their supply chains from concealment of terrorist weapons, including weapons of mass effect, and global supply chains are more secure. ;CTPAT Criteria:;Procedural Security;Security measures must be in place to ensure the integrity of the supply chain. Regardless of a company’s size, written policies are needed to achieve effective supply chain security. Procedural security requires oversight, accountability, control and a system of checks and balance. Technology should be used to enhance all aspects of procedural security.;Procedural Security;Tracking shipment from factory to forwarder (GPS system, driver with phone) Mechanism for reporting abnormalities;2. No factory can be approved unless all goods leaving the factory, by truck or container, are safe guarded by PAS ISO 17712 high security seal .
